TechBesties: Empowering Women in Tech Through Community, Education, and Support

Today, we are excited to announce the official launch of TechBesties, a new non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women and allies in the tech industry through friendship, innovation, and support. TechBesties is born from the passion and commitment of its co-founders, Victoria Moser and Darien, to continue the legacy of Girls in Tech Miami and Dallas.

Darien and Victoria’s journey began at a Girls in Tech event in Dallas, where Darien’s leadership inspired Victoria to get involved. Their shared passion for tech and empowering women formed the foundation of their friendship. As they worked together, their bond grew stronger. When Victoria moved to Miami, Darien’s influence led her to start a Girls in Tech chapter there, carrying on their shared mission.

After Girls in Tech closed, Darien and Victoria knew their work was far from over. Determined to keep the community alive, they co-founded TechBesties, an organization built on the same principles of support, mentorship, and friendship. Realizing they needed additional expertise, they brought Lela on board as the third co-founder, rounding out the team.

Together, the trio is on a mission to create a vibrant, inclusive community where women and tech allies can connect, learn, and thrive. What started as a simple friendship in Dallas has now evolved into a powerful movement aimed at making tech more accessible and equitable for all.

We didn’t just build communities—we built friendships, and that’s the core of our organization. TechBesties is all about finding your bestie in tech and conquering the tech world together. We’re here to make the industry more inclusive, one friendship at a time.
— Victoria, Co-Founder & CTO at TechBesties
